Project: Green Schools K-12 Curriculum Database

The U.S. Green Schools Foundation would like to develop a K-12 environmental curriculum database. There is an enormous amount of very good, no cost, curriculum material created by a large number of reputable, scientific organizations and government offices. The Green Schools database will be accessible from our website, and will enable educators to locate materials by environmental concept, academic subject, and grade level specified by the educator through a searchable database. Materials for the database will be in the environmental areas of renewable energies (solar, wind, hydrogen, biomass), recycling, water recapture, green building techniques, and other topics as they become apparent.

Education Materials Researcher
We need an education materials researcher to help us develop an environmental K-12 curriculum database. The researcher will locate curriculum materials and assign environmental topic labels which will be used for database searches. This information will be handed to an education research specialist. Qualifications: ability to conduct internet research. Some familiarity with curriculum materials and/or environmental topics helpful, but not essential. Volunteer for this position

Education Research Specialist
We need an education research specialist to help us develop an environmental K-12 curriculum database. The specialist will locate curriculum materials (and collect materials from the education materials researcher), assess the quality of the materials, and assign labels (environmental topic, academic topic, grade or grade range) which will be used for database searches. Qualifications: ability to conduct internet research. Education experience a must for assessing the quality of materials and in some cases assigning grade level and academic topic labels.  Volunteer for this position
